As the Executive Music Producer for the monolithic hit Glee, ASCAP member Adam Anders arranges and oversees all of the show's musical productions and best-selling soundtrack recordings. In 2012, he also had the "privilege" of helping superstar actors find their singing voices for the film adaptation of Rock of Ages. Add to that Anders' rotating list of high-profile writing/production gigs, and his brand new label Deep Well Records, and you've got the busiest man in music. A few weeks into Glee's fourth season, Anders took a breather to reflect on his career.

It's a lengthy interview.Collapse )

For a guy who’s been on Broadway and trained at NYADA, one of the nation’s best performing arts schools, Glee’s Brody (Dean Geyer) doesn’t really sing that much. Sure, he’s got the dancing part down no problem, but we’ve only heard him sing twice — to Demi Lovato and Sheryl Crow tunes. Well, that and his infamous shower scene, of course.

Wetpaint Entertainment spoke exclusively with Dean Geyer at a Young Storytellers Foundation event on October 20, and we asked if Brody will be singing in upcoming episodes. His answer: Nothing in the next few episodes, but he’s definitely hoping for something soon. One thing’s for sure, we will see plenty of Brody dancing — and trying to teach Rachel to dance, too.

Lea Michele tweeted that Brody takes over as Rachel’s dance instructor for a while and we’ve heard she’s not too happy about it. Why not?
Lea wasn’t too happy or Rachel wasn’t too happy?

Rachel, silly.
He does take over the dance instructing but he’s a junior there so if the teacher’s sick he may take over. I think at the school he’s a pretty popular kid with the teachers and I think he’s fairly talented among the juniors and so if anyone is to take over the class it’s him.

What is the dynamic like between Rachel and Brody in the classes now that he’s her teacher?
Well I think it’s just for one session. The one session ends very successfully and the students come out better dancers!

Will Brody be singing again in the future?
I hope so, but you know what? In the upcoming episodes I don’t have any songs. They need to give me my solo; I’m waiting for my solo!!

If got to do a solo, what song would you sing?
