Chris Colfer, who is well known for playing Kurt Hummel on the hit FOX series Glee, will make an appearance at Barnes & Noble Union Square (33 East 17th Street) at 7pm on Wednesday, July 18 for a talk and signing of his new book, The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell.The book, which is due to be released on July 17, tells the tale of twins Alex and Conner Bailey, who leave the real world behind, through the mysterious powers of a cherished book of stories, and find themselves in a foreign land full of wonder and magic where they come face-to-face with the fairy tale characters they grew up reading about.
In addition to his work on Glee, for which he received a Golden Globe Award and two Emmy Award nominations, Colfer appeared in the staged reading of Dustin Lance Black's 8 and wrote and co-starred in the film Struck by Lighting.
